We wanted a show a freedom fighter in a similar vein to Jake, but who perhaps fought one battle too many. And even then despite the odds and difficulties Solek always fights on. I really like how the narrative team explored this archetype. Final rifle design by Robert Grafström.

the stripes play a big role in the expression. Especially around the eyes where they add a lot of character.
I still love the original sketch for So’lek, especially the human and Na´vi hand sign of friendship on the torso armor. Also: Mohawk :D
