Avatar: FoP Temperate characters

Temperate was an inhouse favourite as the clan environment strayed quite far from what we knew from the first Avatar movie. Huge props to Robin Tran, Rafael Kowalski and Chris Whelan who were spearheading the architecture of the new clan. And even more thanks to Simon Lindwall, who was instrumental in the clan research and art style. Okul was also co created with Robert Andreas Drude, the magician!

Lead concept artist: Cody Gramstad, Janet Ung, Mikhail Greuli
Art direction: Gabriel Odgren
Lead character artist: Ronald Gebilaguin

Mokasa was super fun to design. True politician, who is obsessed with status and his position inside of the clan, so it was really fun to dress him into the absurdly enlarged shoulder piece. I would like to apologize here to our tech anim department.

Something as human as limb prosthesis was rewarding to design for a world of Avatar. In the end greyboxing it in zbrush and simplifying it as much as possible was the most fun way to do it.

Okul is as close to a scientist as we got and thinking about all the different tools they would have in their workshop was super fun.
